An underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV) is a robotic vehicle that is controlled by remotes from the ships which is used for exploring the mystery of the deep ocean and recording the visuals of the deep sea for study purposes .
ROVs Are Four Classes:
Work Class ROVs:
These working-class ROVs are normally big and equipped with the latest tools and a camera which is used for depth of the sea where the divers are not able to reach.
Light Work Class ROVs:
These ROVs are opposite to work class ROVs which are normally small in size and equipped with one color tv camera with light, one still camera with a flash gun, and two very low lights. use. It can't go deep because it is not built to handle the pressure of the deep ocean.
Observation Class ROVs:
These class ROVs are smaller compared to work class ROVs and these observation ROVs are used for visual inspection and light inspection which are connected and controlled by the ship via cables that can carry a payload of 30kg.
Micro Or Mini ROVs:
These ROVs are the smallest class of ROVs which are used to cover all the areas in the depth of the sea.
These are the classes of underwater ROVs that help in oceanography (study of deep-sea life) and help in inspecting the sea for the construction of bridges and oil factories.
